Deputy Minister Kakar meets Diane Whitten, Refugee Coordinator US Embassy

Ms. Diane Whitten, the Refugee Coordinator of the US Embassy, paid a courtesy visit to Deputy Minister for Refugee Affairs Wafiullah Kakar on 12 January 2020. Deputy Minister Kakar appreciated the US government’s strong commitment to migration and IPDs issues for Afghanistan.

In this meeting, both sides agreed to advance further and intensify the good and trustful cooperation between Afghanistan and the USA in the area of migration and IDPs.

HE Wafiullah Kakar informed Ms. Whitten about the on-going reforms at the Ministry. Ms. Whitten wished to be informed about the new developments to assist the MoRR where possible.
