Deputy Minister Wafiullah Kakar talked with Mr. Martijin Pluim Director for Migration Dialogues and Cooperation of the International Centre for Migration Policy Development on 20 October 2020. Deputy Minister Kakar appreciated the work of the ICMPD done in the past and in particular, for its assistance in designing the new Migration Comprehensive Policy for Afghanistan. Both sides agreed to intensify the valuable cooperation. Deputy Minister Kakar seeked ICMPD’s cooperation in the areas of labor migration, capacity development, and Afghan diaspora engagement. Moreover, Deputy Minister Kakar asked Mr. Martijin Pluim to expand its activites beyond capital Kabul.
