Dialogue between Deputy Minister Kakar and EU on Comprehensive Migration Policy

Wafiullah Kakar, Deputy Minister for Refugee Affairs, and the EU Delegation virtually exchanged on the progress made by adopting the Comprehensive Migration Policy (CMP) and the preparation of designing an implementation plan and the required capacity for the realization of the CMP. The meeting took place on Wednesday, 05 May 2021.

Deputy Minister Kakar said that after consultations with the relevant national authorities and international organizations, the draft of the CMP has been sent to the Administrative Office of the President; the Ministry will work on an implementation plan shortly. The Deputy Minister for Refugee Affairs stressed that the CMP implementation plan would be in line with the five-year strategy of the Ministry.
