Deputy Minister Wafiullah Kakar meets Representative of Swedish Embassy

Mr. Anders Schogster and Ms. Nina Johansson from the Swedish Embassy, paid a courtesy Vice Minister for Refugee Affairs Wafiullah Kakar visit on Monday, 19 October 2020. Vice Minister for Refugee Affairs Wafiullah Kakar appreciated the Swedish Government’s engagement in Afghanistan.

In this meeting, both sides agreed to further advance the good cooperation between both countries in the area of migration. HE Wafiullah Kakar informed Mr. Anders Schogster that an inter-governmental committee has approved the resumption of non-voluntary return but COVID-19 precautionary measures must be considered at all stages by deporting country.

Further, Deputy Minister Kakar shared the concerns of Afghan asylees in Sweden which were received by the office of the President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and requested the Swedish Embassy an official response in this regard.
