General memorandum of cooperation signed with NRC

A memorandum of cooperation between the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriations (MoRR) and the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) was undersigned by the Deputy Minister of Refugees Wafiullah Kakar and Astrid Sletten (Country Director Norwegian Refugee Council).

Under the memorandum of cooperation, the NRC will implement repatriation assistance programs in close communication and coordination with the Ministry; the projects shall be evaluated jointly.

The memorandum of cooperation underlines the commitments of the government of Afghanistan as well as the international organizations to the Geneva Conference on Afghanistan.

In addition, the memorandum of cooperation obliges the NRC to submit regular progress reports and inform the Ministry about its implementation plans.
