Memorandum of Understanding between MoRR and Norwegian Government needs to be revised

Wafiullah Kakar, Deputy Minister for Refugee Affairs, met with the Norwegian Ambassador to Afghanistan Mr. Ole Andreas Lindeman on 12 November 2020.

The Norwegian ambassador congratulated Mr. Kakar on his new position as Deputy Minister for Refugee Affairs and announced the continuation of Norway’s commitment to the field of migration.

Expressing appreciation for Norway’s two decades of assistance, especially in the field of migration, Mr. Kakar said that the Joint Memorandum of Understanding between the MoRR and the Royal Norwegian Government requires review and adjustments.  

Further, Deputy Minister Kakar asked for COVID-19 precautionary measures and test if Afghan migrants return home from Norway.
