Deputy Minister Kakar Discussed with ICMPD headquarters

Deputy Minister Wafiullah Kakar talked with Ms. Sedef Dearing, head of the Budapest Process Secretariat in Vienna, on 14 April 2021.

Both sides discussed the Comprehensive Migration Policy of Afghanistan (CMP) current status and the process of its Action Plan virtually. HE Kakar told Ms. Dearing that the CMP had been sent to the President’s Office for its approval. Once the government adopts the CMP, we can work on its Action Plan.

Further, deputy minister Kakar explained the needs for capacity building at the Ministry. Ms. Sedef declared the readiness of the ICMPD to assist if the Ministry submits an official request for assistance.

Moreover, Ms. Dearing provided information about the CAIR project, which will help the returnees finding a job and offering them with other livelihood opportunities.
