Deputy Minister Kakar exchanged with German Ministry of Interior

Wafiullah Kakar, Deputy Minister for Refugee Affairs, met virtually with Mr. Peter Weiderbieden (German Ministry of Interior) on 21 April 2021. Both sides exchanged their view about the bilateral declaration on the return of Afghan migrants, the enhancing the governance of the return process, and the upcoming project support for the reintegration of Afghan migrants from the European Union, particularly from Germany. Deputy Minister Kakar emphasized that the Afghan side needs more information about the returnees to verify whether the repatriation of each migrant can be accepted. Mr. Beiderwieden agreed to provide this further information in advance.
